WESLEY GROUPS

"They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

Methodism was born out of the desire for a more disciplined life of study, prayer and accountability.  Just as the early Methodist movement was a source of renewal and awakening, Wesley Groups will serve as source of renewal and transformation in the life of Blooming Grove United Methodist Church.

WhatWesley Groups are more than a program, they are a lifestyle. Wesley Groups are small groups that practice accountable discipleship.

Why?  To be intentional about living faithfully as disciples of Jesus Christ through fellowship, prayer, study, group accountability, and service.

Format?  Wesley Groups gather for a time of fellowship, sharing, prayer, and bible study.

When?  Each group sets its own meeting time. The meetings last one hour to ninety minutes. The meetings start promptly and end on time.

Where?  In various locations in our community.
