Get Involved

Missions are a great way to "be" the church. Sometimes we have to leave behind the distractions of our daily routines to experience God's presence. Missions reminds us that the church is not just a building. Jesus did not stay in one place and missions doesn't either.

No matter what your skills are, you are needed. That's how it changes people, by showing them how God can use them as they were created. You don't have to become someone else, just be everything that God created you to be.

Loaves & Fishes Food Basket

The Loaves & Fishes Food Basket is a mission project that is continuosly ongoing that supplies food to the Food Pantry at Frost Community Center in nearby Frost, Texas that ministers families in the Frost/Blooming Grove/Dresden area.

United Christian Fellowship

Blooming Grove UMC actively supports the UCF in Corsicana, Texas by providing and serving dinner to students of Navarro College on Sunday evening twice a year, offering a scholarship to a student who participate in UCF each semester, and leading in bible study.

Acts of Mercy Ministry

Blooming Grove UMC lives into the call to love our neighbor as ourself by lovingly caring for the elderly and the sick in the community who are homebound by taking food to them, visiting them at Christmas with gifts, sending cards out to those who are ill, preparing meals for families when folk are in the hospital, and helping neighbors struggling in crises, just to name a few of the works that are being done by the Holy Spirit through BGUMC.
